In a news release, Toms River police said officers responded to a report of gunshots on Camino Medio in the Friendly Village of Riverwood at around 4:05 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14. A male victim told police he was riding his bike in the mobile home park when a teen he knew shot at him.
The bike rider was not injured by the several shots that were fired but some bullets did hit houses in the neighborhood. Investigators from the Ocean County Sheriff's Office collected evidence from the scene.
Police released a photo of two suspects standing next to a silver car. The teen wearing a white shirt was identified and charged through juvenile complaints for attempted murder and unlawful possession of a weapon.
